Live In Care in Cumbria

We are a well-established national provider of quality 24 hour live in care delivered by our carers in your own home. Our live in care service is a real alternative to care homes and you’ll be pleasantly surprised by the cost. We aim to provide a service which is flexible, personal, and very much individualised for the person in receipt of our service. Our aim is to empower people to live as independently as possible in their own home.

At Lakehead Court retirement housing scheme in Keswick, we offer 33 one bedroom and 1 three bedroom purpose-built properties for rent for people over the age of 55. The property is situated within Keswick and has excellent transport links around town. The local shops are within walking distance and include supermarkets, a post office, library, bakeries, hairdressers and cafes. There is a doctors surgery in town within walking distance. Other local amenities include a cinema, the famous Theatre by the Lake, and lots of beautiful mountains and hills to either walk up or admire from a distance.

The carers are not employees of the Good Companions, but are self employed. To ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and also to protect our customers from abuse or neglect, we ensure careful checks are carried out. We check every carer against an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Disclosure (DBS). This is a list that would identify people who would be unsuitable to work with vulnerable adults. Our local managers/ partners are also there to offer support and guidance
