"I've just been to visit my nan in the home. I've got so much respect for the carers. Majority of the residents have dementia, including my nan, so the carers need eyes in the back of their heads but yet the carers still have a giggle with them and a laugh.

The dining room offers home cooked meals using familiar ingredients. The popular and nutritious menus change daily and the cook will prepare an alternative to the main choice for anyone who might fancy something different. We can also cater for special dietary requirements. As well as main meals, hot and cold drinks and snacks are available at any time. If you prefer you can eat your meals as and where you like; including the main lounge, bedroom or conservatory. If family want to visit at lunch time we can make it an occasion.

We are committed to promoting as much independence as possible within the context of a safe environment and are dedicated to giving older people a welcoming and comfortable place that they can call home. We specialise in caring for those with dementia and those at the end of their life.

Moreland House is the brand new flagship of Abbey Total Care Group. Opened in late 2014, Moreland House is an elegant building with striking interiors and leads the way in care home provision.

With over 20 year’s experience, the management of Abbeleigh House pride ourselves on offering a highly professional care service for the elderly, with a personal touch. We are pleased to accept residents for long term, and short-term holiday stays subject to availability.

Havering Care Homes operates two purpose-built care homes in Havering. Abbcross Nursing Home is situated in Gidea Park, near to Romford town centre. Upminster Nursing Home is situated on the outskirts of rural Upminster, this home has substantial gardens and grounds.
