We provide specialist and individual packages of care of the highest quality for older people in Cumbria. Our homes are specially adapted to meet our resident’s needs, within beautiful, welcoming and friendly accommodation.

The Millfield is a beautiful Georgian house set facing its own garden on the edge of Keswick. In recent years we have enhanced the main house with two modern wings, designed in harmony with the original building, and added a large conservatory.

Due to our ongoing expansion, we are looking to recruit additional care workers and team leaders. Experience is not always required as Bellcare are able to provide comprehensive vocational training.

We started our family home care business over 20 years ago with the aim to provide high-quality personalised care for people in our local community. Our aim is to care for people at home, help them to maintain their independence and connect them with others in their community. We liaise closely with the NHS and other charity organisations so that when extra support is required, or health needs are identified we can support our clients to access the right services in a timely way.

At Lakehead Court retirement housing scheme in Keswick, we offer 33 one bedroom and 1 three bedroom purpose-built properties for rent for people over the age of 55. The property is situated within Keswick and has excellent transport links around town. The local shops are within walking distance and include supermarkets, a post office, library, bakeries, hairdressers and cafes. There is a doctors surgery in town within walking distance. Other local amenities include a cinema, the famous Theatre by the Lake, and lots of beautiful mountains and hills to either walk up or admire from a distance.

Riverside Lodge has 19 one and two bed properties with lift access, overlooking the River Greta. The estate enjoys the benefits of both a picturesque location and close proximity to the town's central shops and amenities. Across the river is Lower and Upper Fitz Park, which can be reached by the bridge next to the estate. A local manager looks after the upkeep of the buildings and gardens, as well as providing further help and support if required. Surrounding the town is Whinlatter Forest Park, which offers plenty of opportunities for walking.

We are a family run care company, established in 2005, that provides quality home care services to people living across Carlisle, Brampton and the surrounding areas. We enable our clients to access the expert care they need, whilst continuing to live in the homes that they know and love. Our experienced carers provide expert support for a broad range of clients. We work heavily with older people, providing both traditional domiciliary care and more intensive live in care. We also provide support for adults with specialised care needs including physical or learning disabilities, as well as other specialised services such as dementia and end of life care. In addition, we offer a quality reablement service to help people adapt to life at home after a period of serious illness or injury.

The carers are not employees of the Good Companions, but are self employed. To ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and also to protect our customers from abuse or neglect, we ensure careful checks are carried out. We check every carer against an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Disclosure (DBS). This is a list that would identify people who would be unsuitable to work with vulnerable adults.
