Thanks to recent medical interventions many of the young people who use Francis Lodge – our teenage and young adult respite facility – are now living into their twenties (even thirties). Whist this is good news for the young people, the care that they need falls in a large part on their parents. The stress that this places on families is great. Many parents become ill themselves and unable to give the care needed. Some parents develop heart and stress related conditions, others have cancer, and a significant number die before their poorly children.

At Laurel Court, we provide residential, residential dementia and general nursing care for our 91 residents, in homely en suite accommodation. It’s a wonderfully calm and welcoming space, where our passionate team deliver personalised care in a warm, supportive and friendly environment. All rooms are en suite and comfortably furnished and we have free wifi throughout the home. We also offer short-term respite care.

Care 24 is focused on providing a high-quality of service. We will do everything we can to meet your expectations. Having someone who comes into your home for help with for your care needs can be important. You may be able to get paid care workers (known as home help - Domiciliary Care) to provide help in your home. Care workers can also be known as care attendants or personal assistants. Care 24 provides practical support to help you to continue living your day to day life around you.
