The rest home accommodates a maximum of 18 residents and prides itself in giving attention to individualised personal care in a ‘home-from-home’ environment. Residents are supported and encouraged to live with the maximum level of independence, dignity and individuality – but within a warm and friendly secure environment. Elizabeth Lodge is situated in a quiet residential road in Alvestoke, Gosport. All local amenities are close by. It has spacious well-kept grounds and has its own private car-parking for all visitors to the home. The rest home’s proprietor David Mitchell has owned the rest home since 2004 and has long experience in nursing.

I would like to personally welcome you to Alverstoke House, our family owned care home in the beautiful village of Alverstoke, Hampshire. We are 500 metres from the stunning Stokes Bay beach overlooking the Solent and we are a short drive from the key cities of Portsmouth, Southampton, and Winchester. We are pleased to have received our most recent September 2021 CQC Inspection report which has awarded us a GOOD rating which will be published on the CQC website shortly. This has been achieved by our dedicated team working closely with our partner professioanl bodies the CQC, the Local Authority (Safeguarding and Social Workers), CCG and other partner professional healthcare bodies including GP's, Care Home Team, Older Persons Mental Health Teams, Diabetes Nurses, SLT (Speach and Language Therapists), Local Dental Services, QA and War Memorial Hospital services.

Privett Farm house has an excellent reputation for providing great food and menu choices. Our Housekeeper, Paul, has an enviable reputation as a chef and has worked all over the world! Most of our food is sourced locally and we only use fresh fruit and vegetables from our local Supplier. Special Diets are also catered for when requested.
