At Amathea, we provide residential and dementia care for our 40 residents in purpose-built, en suite accommodation. We’re situated in the heart of Cumbrian market town, Workington, close to the River Derwent. It’s a wonderfully welcoming space designed to help us deliver personalised care in a warm, supportive and safe environment.

We are Cumbria’s leading care and support provider for adults and children with disabilities. By providing individual, genuine and caring support, we enable all those in our care to lead a fulfilling, happy life in a homely environment. We have three enterprises; Grow West, The Pottery and Cafe West. Each of these provides invaluable work experience and training opportunities for young people and adults in our care. They provide spaces within our community where everyone is welcome.

Hospice at Home West Cumbria provides high quality, palliative and end of life care to people living in West Cumbria. We are the only provider of adult hospice services in this area. This means that all funds raised by local people help us to provide care for those in need within their own community.
