The carers are not employees of the Good Companions, but are self employed. To ensure the safeguarding of vulnerable adults and also to protect our customers from abuse or neglect, we ensure careful checks are carried out. We check every carer against an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Disclosure (DBS). This is a list that would identify people who would be unsuitable to work with vulnerable adults. Our local managers/ partners are also there to offer support and guidance

Cold Springs Park underwent an extensive refurbishment programme in 2021/2022 which transformed communal areas including dining rooms, lounges/day rooms, garden area, kitchenettes, reception area, and bedrooms

Located in a peaceful part of the historic market town of Penrith in the Lake District, Winters Park is a friendly care home with 40 beds offering residential and residential dementia care. Winters Park underwent an extensive refurbishment programme in 2022 which transformed communal areas including dining rooms, lounges/day rooms, reception area, hair salon and bathing facilities.
