Wow what an incredible place! The building is state of the art, with so much thought put into everything including the small decor details. The rooms are like hotel rooms, with sweet bath robes and very spacious. The staff go above and beyond to ensure the residents are well cared for, and lots of activities for them to be involved in…. From chair yoga to a good old sing along in the cinema room. Would highly recommend

I work for Connaught Care and I am currently based at Portsdown View as the Customer Relations Manager. The home is beautiful and the staff are lovely. Residents are well cared for and happy. There have been some changes in staff and I feel this has been for the best. The current Managers and staff work closely with the community teams and local GP to ensure the residents receive the best possible care. As Customer Relations I receive a lot of feedback from residents, friends, family and visitors and it is all very positive.

I have visited the home on many occasions and have seen how the residents are being treated. Most if not all times I have visited the residents are bored. No entertainment as sold to them. I have been on occasions where the staff are different one weekend there is really good care staff then the following weekend the staff are not treating the residents with the care they deserve and they pay for! Throughout my time visiting there has been many members off staff leaving/ being sacked. Seems and heard like they have a higher up management problems. The home has many of problems and I would not want my family being left in their care. The foundations off a good care home is the staff and unfortunately from what I have seen and heard they are not getting their foundations right, there is a handful of staff which a should not be in the hands of loved ones.

I joined Connaught Care in December 2023, it is such a great company and portsdown view is such a lovely and welcoming home. The residents are always put first and made sure that they live everyday to their best ability. The home is also stunning and we have a great team
