Mountview Care Home

I started at mountview two months ago and have been welcomed with open arms by the staff. The management team have an open door policy and are friendly and care about what you have to say. The staff team are wonderful as are the residents, the best career move i have made.

I’ve never worked for an organisation that’s shows their Managers so much support. I’ve been working at Mountview apart of Ideal Care Homes for almost 3 years now and I never look back. I’ve seen the staff, the residents and the home blossom and would like to thank everyone for all that you do for each other and for our residents. Keep up the good work all.

I have worked for Mountview for just over a year and can honestly say it is the best place in have worked.we are not just a team we are family and to be a part of that is everything . All care staff and management have be exemplary throughout this pandemic . Through out my time of working here I have had nothing but support from managers and other staff in the home.

I used to like that place a lot but sins there is a new night manager Ellet came parmanet that place is not a peaceful. She bully everyone specially agency staff, she will never help you to help with residents, she is horrible to the residents. All night she sleeps I don't know why mountview hired her. One day mountview ll lose there all good staff because of Ellet Most people stopped working there lots agency staff stopped doing shifts there .

Our father became a resident at this home in August 2018. For a year and a half, we were mostly happy with the level of care our dad received, and some of the staff we met were lovely. Then just before the Covid-19 virus took hold in the UK, my father was admitted to hospital with a water infection. After a few weeks of recovery without a single visit from any care home staff, they then, with no reasonable excuse completely abandoned him, saying they would not be taking him back. In a cruel, and callous act, they completely washed their hands of him. Our dad was now stuck in a hospital that was fighting Covid-19, with nowhere to go. As a family, we spent a very frightening, anxious, and stressful few weeks trying to find an alternative care home. The treatment of our father was shocking but the most upsetting part was the attitude of the Chief Executive, completely uninterested, not even giving us the courtesy of returning my phone calls.

Lovely care home with wonderful staff. Looking after my mum for over 2 years, regular contacts and updates especially during these difficult lockdown times. Big thanks to all the team.

What a great place, it has a cinema, a hair salon and everyone who works there is happy and always willing to help.i over heard one elderly lady say "I keep forgetting I am on holiday" as she sipped her tea and was eating a chocolate eclair. Last month the residents went to a gala ball and with Christmas coming ,there are shows, Carol concerts and even a pantomime ,I just wish I was old enough to get a room !!!!!!

A great place to be and work, everybody is inviting and supportive. All hard working and communication is very important because it helps everyone mange and gain confidence in thier job role.

I have recently started working at Mountview as a deputy the staff are amazing and so welcoming they make you feel part of the family management are so approachable you can go to them any time you want the door is always open the care they deliver to the residents is person centred care and tailor made just for them there is always activities on daily and all the residents join in, Mountview is a lovely place to work and a lovely place to live I would I highly recommend this place to anyone if you are interested in working in care or interested in coming to live in a care home please give us a call or pop in you are all more than welcome

I started at mountview just over a year ago the support from management and staff has been amazing, I have had an amazing opportunity to do my health and social care nvq 2 through ideal care homes and have been offered to do other levels later after I have completed my level 2, I have just recently been promoted to A senior position working at mountview gives you amazing opportunities to progress withing your role, I would like to thank the staff,senior and management team and lovely residents for welcoming me in to their home.
