My aunt was well cared for at Mossvale Care Home. The staff were lovely to her and it was the little touches that made a difference like painting her nails, talking about our photos with her and making jokes with her. We could see how much the staff genuinely cared about her and we were delighted when 2 members of staff came to her funeral and shared some more stories with us. We're happy that the last years of her life were the best they could be under their care.

Mum is currently a resident. Like most places it has taken time to settle in. It's a well staffed home. Food is good and the rooms are very spacious. Staff are friendly for the most part. There is always some activity going on and clients are well engaged. However, like most of these places, you have to bug them to do their job. Mum has not been washed for days and when you ask staff they tell you differing accounts. After discussion with care home manager, I feel much more assured. Mum is clean and well dressed and happy. December 2021 - standards have slipped. Only one registered nurse for 60 patients and constant staff turnover. Upstairs especially is shabby and needs decorating. When I asked about decorating I was told I could so it myself! At 5k a month it's a bit of a cheek. Shame as it was a really top class place. March 2022 - new management in place and have been told things are in place for new decor. New manager is more hands on and approachable.

My mother was the first person to move in to Mossvale. She spent 5 great years there, she enjoyed every minute of it. The staff are amazing, through time the have became great friends. When my mother passed away they were so caring and couldn't do enough for us.

My Father ended up in A&E unable to walk unassisted, had a cut above his eye, bruised head, cut elbows, kidney and eye infections. When my Mother went to see him he was crawling along the floor totally unattended. He'd only been in for 3 nights to allow my Mother respite.
