Greensand House Care Home

Greensand House is a beautiful home, conveniently located. I received a warm and friendly welcome from the whole team. There are a wide range of facilities including a hair salon and private dining room which can be used for special occasions with loved ones. Thank you for your hospitality during my visit.

Greensand House is a recently opened care home. They have hit the ground running. It is excellent and well run establishment. My mother who suffers from Dementia had a 12 day stay during the festive period. During that period, she was well looked after and she was in a safe, caring and loving environment. She was treated with both respect and dignity. This care home is clean and well equipped with the latest state of the art technology and equipment. They have jacuzzi bath which plays music and has sensory lights. The care team are well-led by the Deputy Care Manager who leads by example. She is enthusiastic and is very helpful. All the care assistants provided tremendous support to my mother. They are very enthusiastic and critically understand and are knowledgeable on dementia issues and worked well with my mother. The Reception staff are very helpful, polite and courteous. They have a superb chef who provides a wide range of cuisine. She had an excellent Christmas dinner. The chef actively engages with residents on what they want to eat. The meals are of a high standard and high quality. The Entertainments manager provided a wide range of daily activities. She provided feedback on what activities worked for my mother and which did not. The Housekeeper ensured that all my mother clothes were washed prior to her return home. There was no washing to do. My mother was regularly photographed during her stay which were emailed to me. I could see how she was getting on. During her stay my mother was attentive, comfortable and she has clearly benefited from the experience. In my view, Greensand House has set a clear high standard care by which other care homes can be measured and assessed. Greensand House is the care home to watch. In my view, mother was in a better frame of well-being than when she went in. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay. It was a weight off my mind during her respite. I am very pleased with they able to do for her.

Greensand is a beautiful home, all of the areas are well laid out and spacious for the residents. All of the staff are friendly, kind and knowledgeable. A great team who care and value each individual.

I love work with the team at Greensand House, they really demonstrate a one team approach. It is so good to work along side a team that has so much passion and enthusiasm for what they do. As a team member, I am supported a lot and have been given amazing opportunities to study and progress in my career.

Beautiful care home with a lovely homely feel. Staff are great and always welcoming. The care home team always have activities organised for residents and are at hand when needed.

The building is modern and stylish much more like a hotel. The lounge areas are lovely, and the dining rooms are restaurant like. I found the staff warm, friendly and very helpful.

I visit the home regularly to play music for the residents, and it's very nice. Lovely surroundings, and a friendly and inclusive atmosphere. It's a pleasure to play there.
