From the moment I walked in, I could see that everyone just seemed so happy! There was music playing, residents were walking around chatting and smiling and it felt lively and homely. Every little detail has been taken into account and the personal touch and care is very evident here. Would 100% recommend!

Signature at Westbourne has exceeded my expectations. My father moved in from his own home in November, and the transition was seamless. The staff are very caring, cheerful and professional. The accommodation and other facilities are excellent, with a super restaurant and cafe, and a wide range of activities on offer. There is a very positive atmosphere at Signature and my father has settle in very quickly and really enjoying living here.

Went to visit a friend of mine who has just moved into Signature. The first thing I noticed was the warm atmosphere, they had a lovely lady playing the piano and the other residents seemed to really be enjoying themselves . I would really recommend Signature to anyone looking for a home away from home .

Lovely home, the attention to detail is on point. Very warm welcome everytime you walk through the door. I'm on the remanisance floor and the care is second to none. Been with the company for just over 4 months now, the training received was very detailed and you could tell they care for their staff as well as the residents. My line manager is amazing at what she does, no carer is left behind. Proud to work for an outstanding company.

Myself and my client have visited the memory cafe on several occasions, my client is not a resident of signature care home. We have found the memory cafe run by Charlie to be so beneficial, my client has freely engaged with Charlie and the other attendees, the quizzes are good fun and evoke memories, highly recommended. Lovely venue and hospitality given by the team at signature, a very big thank you also to Wendy who has always made us feel welcome and valued

Lovely care home. The staff are absolutely fantastic and the food is excellent. There is also a wide range of activities on offer, which is so very important and great facilities all round. Would definitely recommend.

When you come to visit, you found staff friendly, approachable and welcoming. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. Residents have settled in very well. It is lovely to see the elderly who live in this care home they really feel "HOME" as much as they can.

I have heard all about Signature at Westbourne from one of my friends and it seems that all staff appears really friendly and helpful. I have never visited this care home but I would definitely visit just by looking at the building and their outside gardens seem an amazing space to spend time on sunny days.

Horrendous experience! After promising to take my mother and with months of planning and cost in organising mum’s move, with just a few days notice Signature sent me an email to say they could no longer accept her. They didn’t even have the courtesy to call. They cited numerous different reasons but I believe that the underlying reason was they gave mum’s room to somebody who they thought might be easier. Having assured me they had all the nursing experience required to manage, amongst many other things, mum’s stoma, they then quoted mum’s stoma management needs as to why they would not take her. Mum has been left devastated by this as she was looking forward to being by family and her church in Bournemouth. When challenged, Signature Westbourne said they could take mum possibly in a month when things had “settled down” but I didn’t trust them to change their minds again at the last minute. Also, I wouldn’t trust them to look after mum properly if they are so fickle with their promises. I had expected so much more from Signature with their apparent reputation but I guess I should have done better research. Buyer Beware!!……UPDATE: I noticed that Signature have responded to this review by saying they could have taken mum a couple of weeks later…this is completely untrue. They made it very clear that, having assured me that they had all the necessary nursing experience, they could not accommodate mum’s needs for a whole host of questionable and incorrect reasons and it was only when I expressed my outrage at their unprofessional approach that they back tracked and suggested they could have taken mum a month later. Their response makes me even more outraged. I wouldn’t trust these people if they told me the time….

There are lots of activities for the residents as well as trips out for them on the minibus a couple of times a week. The food is a very high standard, with a large open dining room as well as a private dining area for small family gatherings. The newly refurbished rooms are beautifully decorated with accessible bathrooms. Sunrise of Westbourne is the best care facility I have visited. Well done to everyone who works here!

I have work in this community for over 5 years, all staff friendly and kindly. Manager team are polite and sort out any concerns for staff. Food is excellent in the community, delivering high quality care.

Mum has been on her dementia journey in Signature at Westbourne Care Home for the last four years and I cannot speak highly enough of the love, support and care that she has received since day one. She is now non-verbal but the relationships that she has built with her various carers over the years mean that she continues to be understood. Most importantly, she feels loved. Signature has weathered her through multiple physical and emotional storms, adjusting her care as appropriate at every step of the way and making sure that we, her family, are cognisant of and comfortable with the decisions they make to keep her safe and comfortable. The environment is elegant and well-maintained, the food is delicious, and there are plenty of activities for those who desire them but, most importantly, residents are treated with respect and love, like family. I could not recommend Signature more highly. My name will be on their books when the time comes!
